ACCA stands for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. It is a globally recognized accounting qualification established in 1904, with over 750,000 members and students across 180+ countries.
You are eligible if you have completed 10+2 (with a minimum of 65% in Maths and English, 50% overall). Graduates from B.Com, BBA, MBA, CA Inter, or equivalent qualifications can also apply and may receive exemptions.
Depending on your prior qualification, you can receive up to 9 exemptions out of 13 papers. CA members/affiliates get the maximum exemptions. B.Com graduates typically get up to 5 exemptions.
ACCA typically takes 2-3.5 years to complete depending on your exemptions and study pace. With 9 exemptions, you could complete it in as little as 12-18 months. You can appear for exams four times a year in March, June, September, and December.
